Just to add to your death tax comments, IMHO having practiced as a CPA for many years one of the WORST aspects of it is it only effects the middle class. The TRULY wealthy are able to afford the lawyers and accountants and have the assets sufficient to justify elaborate schemes to avoid any at all.
Example, the KENNEDYS, the MELLONS, and MANY MANY OTHERS. jdn

What's the point you are trying to make, Peter?

You seem to be conflating several different issues... potential tax receipt gains from elimination of cap gains taxes, "immorality" of taxes, etc., none of which have anything that I can see to do with the issue we were discussing: potential job increases resulting from the reduction or elimination of various classes of taxes.
