"It's obvious they are running scared. As they should be."

Did you listen to NPR this evening? Two reporters put together a time line that is devastating to FEMA. They had interviews with people to back it up. They also claimed that when Bush met with the mayor and the governor in New Orleans, he flatly told them that any aid was conditional on them turning total control over to him. Thankfully, he relented the next day. But imagine putting conditions on the lives of his fellow citizens...

Give it a listen here.

Ted, They put Brown in a box... it doesn't matter what the pundits say, the admin admitted the guy was at fault (or the scapegoat).

Yes, but it was a minor victory. All they did was take Brown off the Gulf Coast disaster and stick him back in DC. If Ophelia makes landfall, he will head up the relief effort for that one.

Think about it........this guy [along with Chertnoff].... is responsible for the death of hundreds if not thousands, and all he gets is a slap on the hand. I smell blood but not enough.

It's obvious they are running scared. As they should be. They are culpable for many deaths, and everyone was watching on TV.

I don't think they're running scared. If they were running scared, Laura Bush wouldn't be complaining that the media has been unfair. Everyone would be silenced. There annoyed......that's all.

If the Democrats were not suicidal idiots I would say it was game set match for the mid-terms and the next Presidential elections.

I can't agree. The Dems are lame......they can't seem to get out of their own way. Even though people are willing to consider the alternatives, they're aren't any really strong ones out there. Right now, IMO, the Dems need a lot of people to come to the fore who are not career politicians yet........who are willing to take populists' stands. I think people are finally getting how bad the Bushies are but its not enough. And people can't stop pushing until they've pushed the Bush people out of gov't completely.
