"And don't tell me Canadians do not come to the US to get faster treatment; I personally have met dozens who have done just that."

I've never said that. Nothing wrong with getting faster treatment if you have the cash.

But there is nothing more important than health. Even when we wait, we GET treatment. That is why we have one of the highest life expectancies in the world (acid rain aside).

As I said before--nothing is perfect. This is not about winning a debate. This is about sharing information so that both our countries can find the best way to deal with those things we value: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

And without health nobody has a Hell of a lot to be happy about.

Let me add something. I've said that we have one of the highest life expectancies in the world. What I did not say was that we have a HUGE problem with Aboriginal suicide, Diabetes, etc.--in short...EARLY DEATH.

If we factor this tragic problem out of the equation our statistics would be over the top...

We have entire "Reserves" where MOST of the kids are sniffing gas by the age of five. Pretty damn sad to see human lives wasted like that. And it really screws our "statistics". Just messes up the stats entirely...
