we ordered in a cord of firewood -

Hoserella,

What do they get for a cord of wood up in your
neck of the stuff.

We paid $140 a cord of seasoned mixed hardwood.

It only went up $10 from last last year.

Considering the big jump in oil, ten bucks isn't
much.

Judging by all the trees on that island of yours
I bet the cost is a bit less. But then again I'm
not sure how to compare with the diff in exchange
rates.

I remember a trick I learned in my college Economics
class that they have a simple exchange rate tool.

An easy way to figure out how well your dollar is
doing is by using the Big Mac rule.

A McDonalds Big Mac costs the company approximately
the same no matter where they are located. Therefore
you can tell what the currency is worth by knowing
how much it costs you in the US and comparing it to
how many Drakmas, Rubels, or Pesos you are paying.

So I guess what I'm asking you is "How many Big Macs
did all that wood cost you?

-Woody

P.S. One time I asked Croc how much her new camera cost
and she told me it cost 15,000 lima beans.
<g>

BTW, She's overdue for a report.

i'll probably end up having to buy the cd.

I'm looking for an excuse to buy a DVD recorder for the TV.

I think I just found one.

If you can wait, I'll send you a copy.

...eventually.

Rhoze,

You know, that anemometer and weathervane can double as a tomato stake...that way, you'll know which way your tomatoes are going and at what speed.

DOH...RIMSHOT!!!

rose~

the fence and the yard look like they're
coming along very well.
the way things are moving along,
the bones will probably be finished pretty soon.

hmmm......
i seem to recall that this garden wasn't going
to be as large as the last one.
ha! it looks to be shaping up into
a rather goodly sized garden. <g>
