Note Mr. 1979 commented that soon there would no Israel or United States. That's plain enough statement for me that Barnett is dead wrong on Iran. Derek

A tactical nuke on it after 24 hours warning to abandon the site would be a move the USA must be tempted to make. That would be poetic justice. Of course there's a bunch of history such as USA/British intervention in Iran which probably riles them. So it would be nicer to come to some civilized arrangements. Perhaps Iran would like to give a few $billion to help establish Palestinians in their own state, for example. Or would like to boost the UN budgets by funding NUN development. Or something else of a civilized nature instead of ranting their superstitious MADness. Mqurice
