If one is a member of a dispossessed minority, and one works with the oppressor, I think the oppressed minority can question the person who has thrown in with the oppressor. If, for example, an Indian went to work for the BLM, and began to work at taking away valuable Indian lands, I think AMerican Indians could question why a person of Indian origin would do that. I think the ISSUE isn't going to go away, just because you don't like groupism. Groupism is the dominate way people clump, and as such it is always going to explain most human dynamics. It is fair, I think, to explore it.

Calling someone an Uncle Tom means that they are kissing up to white people in order to get ahead, even though the demands being placed on them are unreasonable.

"Uncle Tom" is in the eye of the beholder, and I've never yet heard a white person use this term.

On the other hand, I completely discount the people who claim that racism has been eradicated. They tend to be the same people who claim that the feminist movement has been highjacked by lesbian bull dykes and eternal malcontents.

In my judgment, these people never had any sympathy for civil rights in any way, shape or form to begin with.

It's hard enough to discuss intelligently what can be done to combat racism, sexism, and other prejudices, without dealing with the bad faith argument that these problems are all in the mind.

"I'm all right, Jack" is fine as far as you're talking about yourself, but teetering on the brink of narcissism and/or solipsism.

I agree 100%. People should be expected to have certain political beliefs because of the color of their skin. Certainly they should face excessive pressure because they have a viewpoint that might be unusual within a particular ethnic group. If someone wants to take issue with their viewpoints there is nothing wrong with that. Discussion of beliefs and political opinions is important. But this whole "uncle tom" thing is similar to what is often complained about as "hate speach". While I oppose hate speech and hate crime laws, the fact that I think someone has a right to do something (or that if they don't and it is a criminal act the crime is in the act not in their racist views) doesn't mean it isn't objectionable even reprehensible.
