I doubt if you could get much of a multilateral action together without addresses most, if not all, of those issues. Yet another reason to stay away from unilateral action, now that we have validated, again, that a small group in the right place can drive a war with little or no justification. Not that we didn't know that from the Spanish American War, but some lessons apparently need to be relearned periodically.

Hardly, all your suggestions are great suggestions. Especially #4.

Don't confuse my support for the forcible removal of Saddam's regime (and/or the Burmese regime) with support for George's poor execution of that plan.

I'm as surprised as you that there are probably thousands upon thousands of military lifetime professionals who have spent their careers learning how to nation build and what to do after the removal of a regime such as Saddam's, and yet none of them seem to have been consulted in this case!
