The noses of the Turks are smaller than those of the Arabs - or those of their Semite brethren Israelis.

In Paris, you rarely see Arabs on the streets......in a general way.

It's not even that simple.
When I was in Paris there was a big distinction between the North Africans who had a Greek appearance and those who had a Sephardic appearence. (Maybe that isn't the words they used, but the distinction was very plain). They all spoke Arabic but the reaction to them was like night and day.

Re: I didn't say things were wonderful for the Turks but rather they are more integrated into society. They live IN Berlin and not in some isolated suburbs. In Paris, you rarely see Arabs on the streets.....

Neither do you rarely see poor French on Paris street... Paris is a bit special, it's a city so expensive that even the French white middle class can't afford it. Marseille, Toulouse, Perpignan, are another story....

Correction to my post #259236:

Of course, "Neither do you rarely see poor French on Paris street..." should read,

"Neither do you often see poor French on Paris street...
