It said that the left wanted to suppress info that religion exists, as thought no one would be otherwise aware that there is such a thing thus wouldn't get caught up in it. Oh, I don't think there is any doubt that a lot of leftist secular intellectuals would love to run religion out of the marketplace of ideas. They really agree with Marx on this issue. For proof of this, just look at the leftist world-wide attempts to kill religion in the 20th century. They did incarcerate and kill millions. China still jails them.

Not silly to me. I think you have, in your first sentence, described the liberal far left's religious goal precisely. Many things that the left supports are in direct conflict with religion...For example the left supports abortion and sodomy. I haven't heard any preachers sharing that position. They take an opposition position to both. These left positions cannot co-exist with religion peacefully, so the left and the left's liberal legal arm, the ACLU, are moving to wipe out religion and belief in a higher power, as we know it. They have had some very significant successes... for example eliminating prayer in school, convincing us of the need to pay for abortions with our tax dollars, thereby implicating all of us in the murder of some 30 million Americans since Roe V Wade, the Ten Commandment issue, etc. Other than our own liberal far left, the only other governments in the world that advocate no religion are communist.
