Four combat vets, five heroes.

Amazing story, JDN. You don't hear many such.

That is a very proud reflection. Thank you.. My Dad was a WWII Army vet and told me many stories as a young boy. He is gone now. My brother was a Marine in Vietnam. He died shortly after his return. My Uncles were in Korea and one in the Japanese Theatre as Marines. I did 3 years in the Marines myself. I am the only one left. I had many friends in the Corps that are no longer with us. Some didn't come home with me and others tragically died right here in the states. There was never any confusion about serving. Never any anxiety about enlisting. I called it beating the draft ;)

One thing is certain and that is whenever I see the Emblem or simply USMC on a car or tattooed on an arm, there is someone I can talk to and count on.
