I found that bit interesting, too. When I saw it, I wondered if the difference might be that older people tend not to do things that they wouldn't want known so they are less concerned about eavesdropping. That framing has nothing to do with the constitution.

The above is such a classic line. If you use that rationale you can justify anything- because "doing something you shouldn't be doing" is based on government definitions- it's not as if it's on a stone tablet handed down from God. So the government defines what we shouldn't be doing, and then can come after us without any constitutional protects- at least if you follow the logic in the sentence.

It's a good thing most people understand that freedom is a bit more important.

Rasmussen always seems to be an outlier. While it could be true that all the other polls are wrong, and Rasmussen is right, it's not very likely.
