I skied Schweitzer and Silver Mt last week. Hit them both just right, although Silver needed more snow and it was 44 degrees mid-day, so the snow was rather soft at the lower elevations.

I think you'd like Alpental allot..........steep and mostly advanced terrain.

I envy you.........I'd do the same if I could get away with it. My significant other wouldn't buy it. -gg-

I know you're going to have a great time.

Oh I'm drooling... :O) Biggest places I've ever skied were Whiteface (folks used to have a place in Lake Placid when my littlest sister skated), Mont Tremblant (a lot when it was still raw) and Mont Ste-Anne...

My daughters skis were mid range... No big bucks till I'm sure she's stopped growing :O)

Edit Oh and I left out Jay.... probably my favourite in the old days.. :o)

Sounds like a great plan... ;)

A while ago we chatted briefly on another ski-related thread (which kinda lost momentum). But the few posts following this one may be of interest to some here:

Did anyone here ski Winter Park? I went there a year ago - my last venture into those parts. The place turned out to be surprisingly nice, with a good variety of slopes - and great mogul runs. I'd recommed it.

The North East so far wasn't too good to skiers. Planning to open the season next weekend at Stratton, VT. Doesn't compare to Rockies, but it's not bad, and -- no altitude problems... ;)
