FYI religious courts were banned in Ontario on Monday. There will be no court in the province which can make binding decisions, the first good piece of legislation from the Mcguinty government!!!!!

Surely this will be challenged in the courts under the Canadian Charter of rights. First Nations are allowed to exercise tribal law, why not Muslims? I expect the Ontario Liberal government will have to enact the not withstanding clause in the constitution to take away the legal rights of the Muslim minority. How ironic.

"...as long as they realise that we are a multi-cultural country, and they cannot impose the rules of Islam on the rest of the country. If they decide they need to live in a country with strict Islamic rules, they should stay the hell home."

Why should they recognize anything. Is that part of the deal when we sponsor and pay their way over here? The problem with Canada is people don't come here to be lumberjacks anymore, there is no one culture and we tolerate everyone elses B.S. You can't have it both ways Siegel either you recognize everything or tolerate only one thing.
