well Peter ya must already know my conviction on youth violence... We are way too soft irrespective of the crime.. I still don't see the motivation being important beyond self defence, or defending someone unable to defend themselves...

Your whatif question is on par with the following: If the individuals that molested the alter boys in the church were called homosexuals (these were same sex after all) would the media have been to quick to call for lynchings?
