What if the students acted upon their finding the mullahs revolting? I dont see that happening. Students without balls more interested in drinking cappucino and going to underground parties, than supporing the workers is not something that scares anyone i am afraid. The mullahs allow just enough rights to get by. The guy who can mess up everything is their new president. All bets are off if he tries to talibanize things in iran among students and women. As for nukes, students seem to be reacting more nationalist than anything else.

I was talking to this Iranian pastry chef I know about events of late. More than anything I wanted to get his impression of how the usual Iranian felt about their Government. He threw together a scenario that reminded me of the song "Who are the brain police" (Frank Zappa and the Mothers). Typical of a state of fear no one will speak out against the govt. since more than likely they, their family and friends will mysteriously disappear. He told me basically that 90% of Iranians don't like their gov't and out and out despise the hardcore mullahs and imams to the point that they can't travel without a large contingent of bodyguards. While he said that he could return to Iran any time for a visit, while in country he'd have to be very careful about what he said......
