It's strange how these right wingers will hang on to the slightest thread or hint that Saddam was in cahoots with OBL. I do understand why they do it. It's a false patriotism though. I love my country very much. I grew up believing that America could do no wrong. That we were always on the side of right. Unfortunately it's not always the case. We are a nation of good people, but sometimes bad people get in positions of power. Our fore fathers understood that this was a threat to democracy. That is why they designed in checks and balances. They knew what the worst of human nature can do. Power and greed can destroy a democracy. They also gave us an escape clause. It's called impeachment. With the congress under control by Bush and his corrupt party mates, the people are powerless to rein in the neocon policies of this administration. We'll see where America wants to go next. I pray that a new congress will emerge after November. I understand that many people thought that the republican party would bring this nation closer to god. But look what this party has wrought. Death and destruction is the guide book of this administration. Revenge, greed, blood lust, domination and control of the world is their goal. They are not compassionate conservatives at all. Folks like Dan first need to shed a few tears that our country is not what we'd hoped. We are no longer a nation of John Waynes, Davey Crocketts and Daniel Boones. We are a nation being led by an administration that is morally bankrupt. Orca
