Thanks for a different perspective on the history. Those were dark days for Apple, and few people could have expected the current Apple success. The point being, whatever Mike said in 98 is irrelevant now and I am certain any bad blood between Mike and Steve has passed. I'm not sure how much bad blood there was or is now, but it sure is humorous for those of us observing. The best was probably Apple vs. Intel (Tanks, Burning Bunny Suits, etc. and the current Intel execs have a good sense of humor about all that). Apple vs. IBM was also interesting in 1984 and look at the cooperation in PowerPC (though now history). As far as Apple vs. Dell, after Michael Dell's remark, Steve Jobs gave a talk (which I'm unable to find a photo or video, but if anyone has one or link to one, please include here). But Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Computer, seemed to be the focus of Jobs' attention. Still seething from Dell's recent comments that Apple should be shut down, Jobs had an image of Dell projected on a giant screen with a bulls-eye superimposed. ``We want to tell you, Michael, that with our new products and our new (online) store, and our new building and manufacturing, we're coming after you, buddy,' Jobs said. Apple's co-founder later showed the crowd of several thousand Mac fanatics a 15-second ad that literally takes jabs at Dell. In it, Muhammad Ali bobs and weaves onscreen, taunting, ``Back up, back up sucker. I'm coming after you.' Dell loves intel more than msft too. Intel really made Dell. BTW, why do you say this? What did Intel do for Dell?
