James > I belong to no gang or assembly but I do have a personal relationship with Christ.

Are you saying you do not belong to any church and that you found your way to Christ all on your own?

> He placed me in a spot that I never intended to go and the split second timing enabled me to catch this little girl when she was in free fall to the pavement.

That's truly amazing.

> But that is not all. He has proven to me that he is real. He has taken away my fear and most of my anger which was a terrible thing to behold. That is only a minute bit of what he accomplishes for me every day.

Then I fully understand why you feel the way you do.

> I want you to have that kind of experience. Just consider having a friend like that.

Wonderful.

> I give him my life in the morning and thank him at night.

Unfortunately, I guess for me, I just can't bring myself to do that. If I tried it would be pure hypocrisy, a masquerade in other words.

I belong to no gang or assembly but I do have a personal relationship with Christ.

What exactly does it mean to have a "personal relationship with Christ"?

Is this the opposite of having an "impersonal relationship" with Christ?

Just how does one tell if they have a "personal relationship" with Christ, and not an "impersonal" one?

Thank you for your explanation,

Cyprian
