Hooray it worked for me....so here are today's words for May 5, 2006. Hope I don't have to wait and put them up at the same ungodly hour as this is. But then again after 12:00 a.m it is the next day.

GEE, THAT'S FUNNY! I had an SBC tech out yesterday. Their side of the line he says, and he will get it fixed. Yesterday evening it started working. This morning it was down again.

Time to call them and tell them to fix it or they don't get paid.

Good thing I haven't cancelled my dial-up yet. No thanks to Holly. :-)

Don't you just love talking to India? We have SBC DSL and when we've had a problem I wind up frustrated speaking to someone who can'r really help me, they're just reading out of a book.

I have since found their offices in Friendswood and have driven down there, knocked on their door and asked to speak with someone who knows what they're doing.

Good luck and don't worry about missing days, we all have done that.<g>

Funniest thing, that. Every g*dd**ned time I have problems with SBC DSL, it's THEIR side of things! I'm getting lke you- -impatient. If this keeps up, I intend telling them to take their contract and shove it, telling VISA no longer to pay their charges, writing the FCC, and letting the chips fall where they may.

I (in spite of she-who-shall-not-be-named) assurances that I should switch to broadband and the darkness would part and the internet would light up like Broadway, kept my dial-up Earthlink account. If it weren't for it, there would have been many times when I disappeared.
