I support capitalism, not crony capitalism. Crony capitalism is not free and relies on political favors. It is an unholy alliance between some businesses and the government and hurts not only customers, but competition as other corporations not getting preferential government treatment cannot effectively compete.

BTW, the only way a real monopoly can exist is by government favor.

Come to think of it, the federal government is a monopoly! It has been since 1787. Maybe it's time to decentralize it and try Jefferson's model?

Both Democrats and Republicans have been guilty of crony capitalism for decades... perhaps even as far back as the late 1800s. It is the "politics of pull" that weakens our economy and our freedoms and usurps our rights.

Benito Mussolini once defined FASCISM as corporations and the State working together. This is a valid definition as the fascist National Socialist Party of Germany (Nazi) did exactly that.
