When Livermore was trading I believe he was using 10% margin and and would be long or short a few stocks only to the full extent of his account. He is said to have made US$100 million on the 1929 crash alone! I'm therefore not in his galaxy either in wealth or cojones but then again I'm not planning on having to commit suicide after wiping out one too many times.
