Yeah, Hawk....but this ain't 6th grade.

The U.S. has been immune from terrorism because of our location on the planet.

If a car bomb was going off on your street 3 times a day you might consider things differently.

We have to start recognizing the rest of the world before it actually gets here and we don't have ANY choice.

Some of the arguments between posters are improving. Sure hte left demonizes US fp and ignores threats from abroad. Sure the right glorifies all US actions and demonizes all of our opponents worldwide. Neither gets us anywhere. The answers are much more nuanced than what often goes for analysis on this board. Efforts at diplomacy bear great risk as we can always be snookered. But preemptive war has proved to be no piece of cake and this admin has clearly fucked up on iraq and cant really be trusted to make the correct fp decisions as long as cheney has influence and rummy runs defense.
