LBighorn, I've never considered buying any foreign tires, and have not ever tried Bridgestones, but since they are made by Firestone, I have steered clear of them. Maybe they are made in a different way, but all of the problems with Firestones have kept me away, as those problems kept happening long after I had my personal problems with them.I've been using Goodyear, or General, without any thing going wrong. The odd thing is that Goodyears costs more than Generals, and the Generals don't wear down as fast.

Sorry to hear that about your river, or any river for that matter. In my late teen age years, I spent a lot of time on combines and never heard of them starting a fire. Either something was wrong with the combine, or the harvester threw a lit cigarette into the stubble.

Sorry about your fishing. I couldn't help but laugh at this line though.

At about 3:30 p.m., a criminal investigator driving through a wheat field apparently started three spot fires, prompting someone to comment on the interagency radio, "Shoot him!" before he starts any more.
