Criticizing a grandiose policy almost always draws this retort. It's often a rhetorical device to take attention away from the excess zeal of the grandiose policy. It that was my only response it might be safe to assume that this was the intent (or that I was ignorant of other possible responses). In the context of a post pointing out how various extremes are or may be mistakes it wouldn't seem to be safe or reasonable to assume that my post had that intention. I probably should have said "doing nothing more" or "doing nothing new" or "doing nothing that requires serious effort" rather than "doing nothing". Its rare that we would do absolutely nothing in response to a situation that even vaguely resembles the current conflict in Al Qaeda. So the final answer is a middle course that doesn't draw cheers from the cheap seats, but just might be a sustainable policy. Our current track is not. What exactly do you consider to be our unsustainable current track?

Reminds me Dale of having charted a course while boating that was totally inappropriate as the currents included were completely unnavigable... So here we are being tossed,turned and dragged into a storm and the only thing everyone an think of is stay the course... we will get out of this and we will calm the sea.... Imagine... Best to chart a new course. Mary is trying to offer suggestions. Up until now I have not seen anything constructive offered excepting hers and that is poo pooed as unreasonable. The only thing unreasonable has been our whole attitude about the Middle East and Israel( imho) has made the same mistake with this invasion... Today they destroyed a hospital.. purposefully... I have always been a big fan of Israel but not now.
