If you read her statement, you would see that she says nothing treasonous, she says nothing anti-American – stating the situation in Iraq in a clear manner, even if it reflects poorly on our current administration, is not treason.

How dreadful knowledge of the truth can be when there is no help in the truth. – Sophocles (495 BC-405 BC)

Talk of treason and of hanging Democrats shows us who is out of control and engaging in very un-American discourse.

Gary, re: it is incredible to me the depths democrats will go to in order to try and recapture power: you only have to look at what the republicans do to each other in the primaries. If I recall, back in 2000 Rove et al spread rumors about McCains wife that were disturbing.

I don't think it is a dem vs rep issue, I think it is a moral character issue. Most if not all politicians, of any persuasion,
are forced to vacillate between opposite positions to sway voters, and hope they arent caught in a position they cant explain away (look to Kerry re I voted for it before I voted against it fiasco).

I haven't seen a politician of either party that I have much
regard for. I find the venemous discourse of "my party is better
than your party" amusing, because the hard-cores are blind to the problems within their own ranks.

But so far its still the best system out there so I make an independent assessment at each election of which person most closely represents my concerns, regardless of party.
