ksuave, one thing I find very troubling about recent political tactics is this despicable behavior demonstrated against anyone who disagrees with or provides proof to the contrary of their beliefs. Something that comes to mind often is the convention in new york. All those people putting on bandaids marked with a purple marker so they could poke fun and Kerry's war record. What is truly disgusting about this childish behavior and countless other incidents is how it trivializes the people who volunteer to fight for this country. How completely insulting it is for those who have risked their lives to protect America. This really has to stop. I have only one point to make anymore as nothing else really matters unless it is understood. If you're religious, Jesus said it: If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. --Mark 3:24-25 Abraham Lincoln certainly recognized it in his anti-slavery remarks: "A house divided against itself cannot stand" nationalcenter.org Yet the whole strategy of the right is to divide people, marginalize people, splinter people off into factions, and all so they skew the results of elections, or drown out voices of disagreement. Well, all right. If you reject the evidence for voter fraud. This seems to win for them. But what is the right really winning? They want to go off on crusades to reorder the world and make it into their own perfect vision, but even if their ideas are 100 percent right and the left is 100 percent wrong, this is just never going to happen. The more people you marginalize in our country, the less people are going to cooperate with your plan to rebuild the world. You can evidence that in the recruiting problems for the armed services and the back door draft which impresses vets back into service after they have completed the contract with the military. In international terms, you can look around the world and see how difficult it is to find allies to participate in our pursuit to police the world. Doors are slamming shut as the talk here turns to "we'll go it alone." And it just keeps getting worse. To my thinking, it is complete insanity to insult, bully, and deride the majority of citizens of this country and then expect them to support your agenda. History teaches us that all empires eventually fall. I cannot help but believe that these tactics are an excellent way to destroy America. We have to quit screaming juvenile abasements at one another and learn to work together again with each side looking for what is good about the other or this path we are on right now will make a miserable world for our children, and their children, and so on, and so on. --Coz
