As I was suggesting, the great majority of us don't need moveon.org or right wing demagogues. We want nice practical plans. We can face hardship. Each problem in the news is handled in an obtuse way that just doesn't make sense. Name the problem - taxes - that just don't make sense. The IRS doesn't know the code or how to enforce it. Economic development - give to lobbyists and just throw money at pork. Education - give tenure and benefits without any kind of merit. City schools are a disgrace. Iran - what's with the - "we don't talk to them?" While we refuse to talk, nothing has been done and both N. Korea and Iran are in or near the nuclear club and thumbing their nose at the West. Damn I'd talk to Hitler if I could save lives. I'd stab him in the back if he didn't follow my plan. We should talk to Iran, we should talk to Korea, even talk to bin laden. But tell them firmly. Any attack on US by some remote operative means your country is destroyed, along with Mecca and your families. So you better work for weapons controls. Give them that sure thing incentive. We can be friends with Iran and Korea even, tell them we won't attack them. But, if there is any 9/11 type attack or terrorist move on our soil, then they get wiped out proportionate multi times any attack on us. The burden of proof is on them. Iraq - put our troops in those billion dollar bases we've built so we can respond elsewhere. We'll help the govt, but they have to put it together now. And if they want us to help, it ain't patrolling the streets so terrorists can take pot shots. It's rather 24 hour warning and Sadr city is destroyed. Determined actions, precise, concise, effective, efficient. No matter what the issue, no matter how hard, we can take it. Enough of wishy washy pretend conservatives and liberals who sound pretty much alike, just change the personal attack targets.
