No, we should look at where our immigration system failed and looking at concrete proposals that are strong but not discriminatory. Personally, I think that immigration should be more probationary -- screw up and you lose it because I don't think that it is a right, but rather a privilege. Also, if we are getting trouble from people in specific countries, and certainly statistics show who is committing crimes, not paying taxes, or even engaging in or supporting terrorism, we should raise the bar on people from those countries.

Those so-called terrorists were found to be NOT credible terrorists at all. They didn't have a credible organisation, a headquarters, no funding from anywhere, and they didn't know to wire explosives and detonate them, much less about explosives and firearms in general. And the man who turned them in, a fellow Muslim, was their former trainer who declared he turned them in because he had a change of heart. Just how credible do you think that guy was? Apparently that bunch of "terrorists" were just some young nogoodniks out to gain some notoriety and they didn't mind doing time in the slammer, a place they know will provide them with three square meals per day and also rehabilitation, and the opportunity to pump iron to get strong to enable them to bash others sooner or later when they get back out of there. From the get-go the whole affair smacks of a set-up, and so the press paid scant notice to it. Apparently it was a ploy to scare Canadians of a Muslim threat at home and hence into supporting and justifying Harper's decision to send troops to Afghanistan, to enable Harper to get himself into into the good books of Bush, and to give Dumbya yet another opportunity to remind Americans of the terrorist menace so that they would continue to support him in his "war on terror" and to enable Muslim haters in Canada to keep on reminding others that the Muslims in their midst are dangerous folks. .
