Its possible that you might get some positive effect in terms of reducing Sunni terrorism, from the conviction and/or execution of Saddam, but I'm not sure that you will. If you do I don't see why it would amount to an end to such terrorism. The Sunni terrorists aren't all Baathists, and even those who are want power for themselves, they won't just say "well we can't restore Saddam, we might as well give up."

Sometimes I do wonder. It is really hard for most of us to understand the MiddleEastern mindset of the murdering barbarians.

Sometimes I wonder why if we capture them, after they have blown up any of our Military or citizens, or if they have blown up or killed any of their own citizens....Why can't they be tried according to the laws of the Country they are from.
