2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great grandparents [not 16], 16 great, great grandparents. At 20 years per parenting, that's 80 years ago for a just-born's great great grandparents being born = 1926. At 40 years per parenting, that's still only 160 years and that would apply to very few people = 1846. <Of the 16 Great Grandparents* that we all have, the newest arrivals were here before 1850....ALL of them....*> Mqurice
