Interesting perspective. Of course, forever the skeptic, I will wait until we see a functioning model.

Folks who praised electric cars............forgot about Minnesota's cold winters. As temps decline, battery efficiency declines. Then, of course, came the question of how to keep the windows frost-free. Small wood fires on the dash can be dangerous.

Heat for the auto's interior? Wood fire in the back seat? Bud Grant might not mind, but other Vikings have grown soft and want heat in their cars.

Have you seen a prototype? What do these fuel cells weigh and how large are they?

RE: Fuel cell efficiency. Thanks for that feedback. If your numbers are correct for NG in fuel cells, than you have a true apples and apples comparison.

For liquid fuels, it is my understanding that IC engines can tolerate suplhur, which fuel cells can't. There is an energy cost in getting the sulphur out of the liquid fuel. Just how much energy is required, I haven't a clue.
