Whats so great about American culture that they think it must be imposed on people still in the Stone Age? Again ralph... you have completely missed the point... If you picked on everybody everywhere that was bad well that would be just fine by me,. but you don't.. Your attacks are all US centred.. which is why they get irksome... not balance ralph... you'd make a fine jihadist mullah..

imposed on people still in the Stone Age? BTW.. 2 points on that..
1) all those followers of of things American throughout the world do not have it imposed upon them as much as they seek it out... that's just the way it is.. doesn't matter what you or I think..
2) and that's what the Europeans did in Africa and the Middle east. In fact WAIT A MINUTE!!! that's EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID in North America. Quick ralph since you are a party yo that.. you need to do your part to right that wrong .. Need help packing ? where do you come from ? Grandfather from Manitoba eh 1 how did he feel about Metis .. or are you a mongrel like me ? ;o)

From Little Big Man... Chief Dan George as Old Lodge Skins...

Old Lodge Skins: Do you see this fine thing? Do you admire the humanity of it? Because the human beings, my son, they believe everything is alive. Not only man and animals. But also water, earth, stone. And also the things from them... like that hair. The man from whom this hair came, he's bald on the other side, because I now own his scalp! That is the way things are. But the white man, they believe EVERYTHING is dead. Stone, earth, animals. And people! Even their own people! If things keep trying to live, white man will rub them out. That is the difference.

and...

Old Lodge Skins: There is an endless supply of white men. There has always been a limited number of human beings.

What was the official name for the war?
well that depends of course on which side you were on.. a hint could be after the event was all over.. the powers of the individual states were rigidly curtailed... quite unlike Canada..

Did Iraq invade the USA during their civil war which was very bloody and a step in the evolution of America Now ralph you should know better.. Iraq couldn't do anything about it ... they weer under Ottoman control and had been under control of one group or another for centuries... There was no Iraq...

BTW I really wish you would stop using the Iraq non sequitur wrt me.. I don't and never have supported the Iraqi invasion... Here are some lucid thoughts, devoid of vagaries on that topic from me..

Iraqi war a scam IMO.. Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinians, Israel, Taliban et al are where the focus should have been...if we really were waging a war on terror...as in terror against the West...
what a colossal waste of lives, money and time... The only terror in Iraq was in..... well IN Iraq... and we had one big terrorist Saddam without the wherewithal to do anything to the West...

How come Afghanistan is such a mess still and the 'Coalition of the blankety blank' went to Iraq.. SCAM ?! OIL ? Geopolitics..? Misguided neocon Manifest Destiny dogma ?. We hear a lot more about Afghanistan now that Canada is more prominent there ....

I was not going to answer your postings on hatred for Americans, Ralph, hoping it would blow over, as probably most on this board are hoping.

However, I was reminded today of the Iranian hostage crisis when Carter was president, and how the Canadian ambassador and his crew hid 6 Americans from the "authorities" and then smuggled them out of the country. Americans went nuts! There were "thank-you Canada" signs all over, letters to the editor, radio and tv programs etc.

I was born in Northern Ontario, so I am at least as Canadian as you are, Ralph, but I was flabbergasted by the American attitude after the 6 got out. After all, what did the Yanks expect the Canadians to do? Turn them in? What would the Yanks have done if the shoe was on the other foot? Why were Americans so worked up about the Canadian action? I reckon if their perception of Canadians was formed by reading your postings or similar rantings their attitudes can be understood.

I have lived a large portion of my life in Colorado, Arizona and Montana. I have real good friends in these States. I know some would lay down there lives for me if a situation required it, as I would for them. I have good American friends whom I have met on this board. It would bother my conscience if I did not speak out and assure them that, based on my experience, you and your feelings of hatred for Americans represent a minority Canadian position. (fringe, I hope!)

Anybody who likes dogs as much as you do, Ralph must be a decent guy. But if your comments were directed towards the whole citizenry of any other country they would be branded as racist. Think about it Ralph.
