Congrats Bill, you managed to nail the top of a bull market in energy trusts stretching back to the last decade. In your sage words it was an opportunity "...too good for me to pass up..."

That's cold, Insitu, but it is surprising that we haven't heard a word since late Oct about this rock-solid investment Bill "discovered" to replace his wildly speculative oil sands plays.

Wondering whether our resident geological expert is satisfied with the very extensive core hole info provided in the latest CLL release or is Gusella still doing that Fred Astaire thing?

I'm up about 150% in the 5 oil & gas CRT's I started acquiring since 2001.

I AM down about 22% on the PWE investment due to:

a. Drop in natural gas prices (PWE is about 50% natural gas ans 50% oil).

b. The change in the proposed tax status of CRT's (who saw that coming).

But they do keep sending me the check every month (which reduces the loss) and the jury is still out on the tax thing (if it gets extended or reversed all the CRT's bounce) AND PWE does have a BIG oilsand leasehold in the Peace River area so do not count this one out yet. You at least get paid to wait here (over 10% now) unlike a pure sands play. Plus I am way ahead of were I would be if I still held CLL, but to your credit the jury is still out on that one too.

I also think the sands vs. the trusts is an Apples vs. oranges argument. They are different breeds. I wasn't so much as recommending it to Sands players as showing them what I was doing with the cash.

And yes, you are right. I have gone back on my statement that I wouldn't be posting here any longer except for factual info. I just found my interest remained too strong to keep quiet. At some point I may re-enter the Sands and I do check the price of CLL & PBG almost daily and monitor for news.

As an interested party I do believe I have the right to comment on the companies prospects and that a healthy skepticism is best employed when investors approach any investment that promises a lot. And people can take it as they wish. I get as turned off by all the rosey glowing scenarios I hear about sands companies as you apparently do by my skepticism. So in my book that makes us even.

Bill
