Oh, of course, I completely agree, a cover-up is a cover-up, if that's what it actually is... I wasn't questioning that, considering the people involved, I was pointing to the periodical itself referenced in the post, it was the sf chronicle... could anyone find a more LIEberal periodical? If any other rag were referenced instead it wouldn't look so questionable... that was my entire point...

I suspect the "coverup" was done to protect Tillmans family. Who wants to be the one to tell his relatives he died from "friendly" fire? Rather they made up a story of going down in valiant combat. I can understand that. Special Forces are very close to one another just as Marines are closer to one another then Army personnel. I think too much is being made of this. Its a very sad unfortunate happening for EVERYONE. jdn
