"I presented my credentials from the Marine Corps to a very polite clerk for American Airlines. One of the two people to whom I talked asked a question and offered a frightening comment: "Have you been in any peace marches? We ban a lot of people from flying because of that."

American Airlines bans people for being in peace marches? How would they even know? A/A has its own surveillance unit for Bush critics? lol

This is OBVIOUS crapola.

I have no idea whether the man's story is true or not, or whether there are nefarious intentions in the actions of the TSA or whomever manages 'the list'. But it strikes me that this is the government we're talking about. The same government that buys hammers for $600, loses the files of combat veterans, gives housing and money to frauds posing as Katrina victims, builds bridges to nowhere, and sends me a tax bill for $0.00.

If you read the statements by others who object to being put on the no-fly list, it doesn't appear that there is nefarious intent on the part of the government. It's just pure incompetence (as I indicated in my first post to you).
