"We are already at the next generation of Iraqis. What do you think Iraqis saw for 35 years under Saddam?"

What does the 35 years under Saddam have to do with the flaming hatred of many of the current generation of Iraqi children watching the Americans who are directly responsible for the violent deaths of so many family members?

And, while you're thinking about it, where were the tough, willing to die fighting-Iraqis for the last 35 years? Or, put another way, why is that they hate our presence enough to die fighting against the best equipped and best trained army in the world while they generally passively accepted what you claim was the much worse rule of Saddam Hussein?

It couldn't have been fear of death...some of them suicide bomb themselves to death.

Could it be that the factors that drive them to oppose us are stronger than we admit and the factors that would have driven them to oppose Hussein were weaker than we admit?

Or maybe they just "hate freedom." That's a laugh. Ed
