Completely agree.. it's the difference between countries that have very few natural resources, and thereby must innovate, and those who think they can control their nation's wealth to the detriment of creating economic diversity for their people.

And btw, this pertains to the Middle East as well, IMO.. Oil might be an economic crutch, which keeps their economies addicted, as well as our own.
