I watched a special on the 6 day war on PBS last night. Israeli govt was as screwed up then as now in terms of their leadership. It seens rabin had a breakdown before the war and the PM couldnt make up his mind on what to do. Only Dayan had a vision and executed it almost too well. Israel got three things dayan didnt want--control of east jerusalem which he called the vatican and the west bank which jordan lost and didnt want back and gaza which egypt didnt want.
