Been to Dubai recently? 46 billion dollar economy. Israel, 1.85 billion economy, but it has approx 7x the population- 1 million 450k pop for the emirate, and 7 million for Israel. Have you actually travelled in the ME? Because you make these very strange statements as if they are true, and they quite clearly are not. Israel has produced some fine artists- of all kinds- but so have the Islamic countries. Read any modern fiction from the Islamic countries? For a start. Seem any of the great Islamic films?

Since you can't think of reasons, I don't have any difficulty thinking of a reason. look how civilized Israel is compared with the surrounding Islamic countries [or any Islamic country]. Look at their achievements and creativity too. I'm not quite sure why you have difficulty distinguishing people from countries. [Let alone what "achievements and creativity" you have in mind.] Is it "civilized" to drop a million or more cluster bombs in areas of Lebanon? How about this one? We should save Israel because they consume more turkey per capita than any other country in the mid-east? jttmab
