Just trying to clarify some of your comments and not trying to get in to a never ending circle.

My key phrase in an earlier post was "most of us"....and you noted, and certainly had something to say about...

Today, Re Pelosi: You said in response to me on that was: ....>>>>>>>>>"She didn't listen to you. I'm sure there were plenty of people who felt listened to."<<<<<<<<<

Your operative phrase in that #210327 note was "plenty of people"....

And yet, you didn't seem to appreciate my comment earlier but instead you noted:

>>>>> Differentiation and nuance can problematic for advocates on the left just as it is for advocates on the the right. <<<<

You had posted an article by:

MASSIMO CALABRESI

There was no link provided to know where the article came from or how you happened upon it.

I commented that I could find no bio, and only that he had written over 700 articles for Time over the years.

You wondered why that made a difference by saying: "What difference does that make?".....

I have quoted Gibson's comment as Calabresi said it was in whatever forum he was using for his article:

"""""Gibson is, of course, wildly wrong and not just because he rounds 45% up to "half" or conflates all racial and ethnic minorities with Hispanics""""""

It doesn't matter much what either of us think, but does suggest to me some of the reason why there is so much general distrust in reading any media.

Is it wordsmithing in any article or opinion, or maybe sometimes is it just an effort to have a "one up" or "gotcha" comment?

I truly hope this isn't the case.
