<Surely you can see the contradictions here>

The US is standing on one foot -- its military. You think it is our strongest foot, but we shot off that foot when we invaded Iraq. Now we have greatly diminished our military because we sent our troops on a fools errand in Iraq where they are accomplishing nothing.

A REAL US foreign policy would stand on two feet -- a credible US putting its best foot forward abroad with leadership on energy and climate change -- a REAL US foreign policy where we emphasize our openness instead of hiding behind walls -- a REAL US foreign policy where we educate the world in our universities rather than teach people to hate us by acting like thugs. If you cannot understand that energy policy, education and political credibility are central to moving forward then you lack even a glimpse of the sort of vision needed now. You talk only of who to threaten next.
