I would prefer you took US domestic politics elsewhere, and leave this thread for FA discussions.

Our finances are at the core of our international relationships. We are pushing one trillion dollars in deficits that require us to find somebody outside of the US to pay the tab. This is no longer a "domestic" US issue -- it is at the core of global financial flows. Our inability to craft a foreign policy that is consistent with sound financial management is our achilles heel. We are far too dependent on oil and far too dependent on deficit spending to ignore the impact on the global economy.

Once again, you need to view your economics in both short and long term perspectives. If bush had focused on spending and deficits after 9/11, we would never have avoided a sharp recession or worse. Liberal always confuse short and long term and look to fix things with tax rates that thwart growth. They give lip service to spending cuts but what they are really talking about is spending shifts. One mans pork is another mans meatloaf i guess. In order to make fair critism of this admn an i agree with you fully on iraq--you have to be fair. Economy has been good, terrorism has been thwarted at home several times. and he has his court. Those will be the three legacy items of this admin and each is a big deal.
