<there was a trial and it wasn't your place to decide the case> There was a trial and he was convicted. What is the punishment for a US soldier convicted of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit murder? Nothing. Just a note in his file saying 'you have been a bad boy'. And the response of the guilty soldier? It was just part of his job. I have no right to judge? The whole world watches and judges us by our deeds. Murdering Iraqis is just part of what we do -- no big deal. His problem was to plan it out. If he had merely gunned down innocent bystanders after an IED explosion there would not even be cause to flinch within the US military -- there are no innocent bystanders when we come under fire, only fleshy targets.
