<EDIT: it indicates we want to promote democracy in the rest of the world, but do not care about it enuff in our own country.> How does promoting democracy worldwide correlate to the antipathy of the voting public ? My mention of the TV show was to point out that some of the contestants garner over 60 million votes in a few hours... so if our political process can put out some candidates that the voting public feels will make a difference in the way our country is run, rather than the same old same old, then we will see a larger turnout.
