Don't take it so hard, mistakes are part of the game. As they say in my past line of work, If it was easy your mother would be doing it.

BP,

There could be an opportunity to maybe reduce the loss on position, by covering the upper end short strikes (10 & 12.5) and writing at a lower strike 7.5 or going out longer in time duration. It all depends if you want to stay in the stock.

regards,

dealmakr

Bridge,

Re: 'I won't be posting here for awhile.'

Post, post and keep posting; different ideas; good and bad trades, make us all more learned traders.

Trade long enough and we'll all have a few disaster de jour. Mine was Iomega. An M.D. friends of mine with a substantial income lost a ton on CMGI. His mantra was 'keep investing....it goes up and splits, back up and splits'. He finally called it quits at ~ $2 per share.

cheers,

Bridge...keep on posting....although we all hate big losses, they are part of the program....no one twisted our arms made us buy it. There were plenty of warnings from other posters to counter your recommendation.

Hi, Bridge Player:

To be constructive, I hope you learn from the lesson -- the danger of selling naked options. I am also involved in AHM, but only on bull put spreads hedged by bear call spreads, and I have not been hurt.

Just be humble on your postings, and try to be open-minded on the others'opinions. We only grow by learning.
