Nazine, Israel created Warsaw Ghettos of Gaza. Until the Gazans rebel and take control from the Nazi Israeli regime, investments will not be rolling to Gaza any time soon.

So it might be instructive to look at the actual history of Gaza and consider what factors have made Gaza move always in the exact opposite direction - away from moderation and prosperity (the two walk hand in hand) and towards poverty and extremism?

No kidding, all of Gaza's regional supporters don't want a Jewish nation to exist where Israel exists, so they aren't going to provide money to Gaza to recognize Jewish Israel. Duh! For the opponents of Israel that's akin to surrender.

And as usual its more interesting to look at what originally separated Gaza from the West Bank and the land that became Israel. It wasn't an effort to modernize Palestine for its 1.5 million residents, who were 40% Jewish, 40% Muslim, and 20% God knows what religion, it was an effort by the Jews to declare that this multicultural land is no longer shared by these diverse groups, and is instead theirs. Had THAT point in history not occurred, then the chances for progress and equality and brotherly love between these various groups could perhaps have existed a hell of a lot more than they do now. It's speculation, and unfortunately we'll never know what might have happened had the various groups determined to live as equals under the law in secular Pasrael.....

Well, it looks obvious to me too. And if the Gazans took even a small step in that direction, they would be bombarded with investment money, anything to encourage it. Like American investors stepped up to deliver the state-of-the-art greenhouses that the departing Israelies were going to dismantle.

Uhmmm, if it is so obvious then why isn't Israel encouraging it rather than encouraging a prolonged Pal civil war by propping up Abbas in the West Bank? Why doesn't Israel unilaterally say screw Abbas and the PLO, intiate peace discussions with Gaza on terms that Israel and Gaza can agree on, which could include recognition of Jewish Israel, independent power for whoever become President of Gaza (we know those Arabs respond to the opportunity to hold power, they'll take the offer!) and loads of moola which makes the tempting jihad-Saudi-Iranian money that much less tempting? After all, it's obviously a good idea.....
