As for the nuclear issue, if a decision were made force was necessary, an invasion wouldn't be needed, only a short air campaign.

A "short air campaign" would be just the ticket that Admadinejad requires to mobilize public support on his side..

Bad idea... unless the Israelis do it.

They are the ones who have justifiable cause to do so, given Tehran's threats to eliminate them from the face of the planet.

"I'm dead set against invading. Aiding opposition parties would be ok, I suppose. As for the nuclear issue, if a decision were made force was necessary, an invasion wouldn't be needed, only a short air campaign."

How about liberating instead? There is very limited support for the current regime. Iran supports terrorists in neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan*. Without Iranian support how long would the terrorists be able sustain their attacks against civilization?

* Iranian terrorist clients include: Iranian terrorists, Afghanistanian terrorists, the terrorist supporting government of Syria, Lebanese terrorists, Hamas terrorists, PLO terrorists, many more.
