How does "monitoring foreign terrorist communications and track their finances w/o restrictions" interfere in "our" lives of freedoms?

You have let a handful of whacko sick zealots usurp our God given freedoms.

Could you spell out exactly what freedoms h/b usurped? I will repeat I've never heard anyone spell out anything specific about this. Can you do it?

You live in fear if you wish

What does fear have to do with monitoring foreign terrorists communications and tracking their finances? It merely sounds prudent to me. I think the unreasonable fear, I will say paranoia, comes from fearing that our freedoms are in danger from our governments efforts to defend the country against terrorists. Now thats a crippling and dangerous fear.

This is an elective war

Is the war on terror elective? I don't think so. Terrorists have been and will continue to make war on us whether we decide to pretend otherwise.

If it is honestly a war -

That's the problem with you leftists. You refuse to face reality. The reason this latest bill had to be rushed though was that a Judge who agreed with your POV refused to allow the Government to listen to foreign/foreign phone calls without a warrant. Absolute insanity.

who said anything about living in fear... there is living smart. no one is taking away your rights to have machines listen to millions of words coming across in and out of country to know terrorists areas. if the machine i expect hits on a key word it would isolate the conversation to another machine and exception list that i expect goes through another series of checks.

imo this is smart defensive action not interference in our privacy rights. It is not fear but an attempt to save human lives.

Tell that to the 9/11 victims.
