Sarman,

Lets rephrase your statement. What is Iran threat to the Americans in America? I do not believe, the Iranian are on the US borders with military might. Thus conclude that the US is the threat.

Iran's CURRENT government is a threat to regional stability. They've ALREADY displayed that by their attempts to undermine the sovereignty of Lebanon, via their Hizballah proxies, and attempting to create a state within a state.

They are threat to Iraqis sovereignty, and especially the Shi'a Arab community, as they attempt to assert their own religious authority over the Ayatollahs in Karbala and Najaf.

Thus, by posing a threat to American interests in the region, they pose a threat to the US.

Ask yourself what right they, or their Syrian allies, have in supporting the dissolution of Lebanon? What right do they have to perpetrate their war of aggression upon Israel via Hizbullah?

Have you thought about the consequences and implication if a war with Iran is to happen.

I'm not in favor of an Iranian invasion, or attack. I'm in favor of directly addressing the Iranian people by bypassing traditional diplomatic channels. And our message should be that we seek for them to achieve their rightful place in the community of nations (and regionally), but PEACEFULLY. Our message should be the same we sent to the Russians. We're not the enemy of the people, but of their government and that we stand ready to provide them the political and economic support to assert the rights of the majority over the tyranny of the minority.

And with regard to what will happen in Iran, ask yourself what has happened to the Iranian people living in exile for 28 years of oppression and tyranny under the current regime. Ask the parents of all of those Iranian children who were sent to the Iraqi front to serve as human mine detectors by their current President (who was a major leader in charge of the Basiji during the Iran-Iraq war).
