'Sad thing is, we'll probably be in the same fix 10-20 years from now when the next bubble inflates.' I was actively involved on the institutional side of commercial RE and then as a vulture investor for myself the last downturn. What always amazes me is only a decade later the powers at the controls were able to masquerade a bubble in many ways far greater than the last time with most participants totally clueless as to how bad it was less than a generation ago. I used think you had to go 50-60 years or the adult lifetime of all the prior participants before such nonsense could be repeated to this extent..
